Hero

The definition for hero to me is, someone who helps you all the time. Someone who helps you get your homewrok done or something that you need help on. That is my definition of hero.

A hero to me is an inspiration to a person. A parent, sibling, or just a friend. A hero doesn't have to be a superhero, it could just be a person that is always there for you. For example, my Dad is a hero to me because i can always count on him even if I screw up. A hero is always a good thing to have.

My definition of hero is alot of things like Superman he's a hero but he is made up.But a police officer, firefighter, and the paramedics are heros saving lives, and keeping people from danger. The characteristics of what does the hero do is not that hard I can be a hero for example, I can save a cat out of the tree, and take a dog out the middle of the street from getting hit. Superman fight bad guys in fact all superheros fight bad guys even the police.The definition of hero change over time like Spiderman he didnt want to be a hero no more so, just because a hero save people dont mean he's good.Even some police are bad, California have some bad police everywhere in fact.So that's my definition, qualities, and the change they have in their life of a hero.

What Is Your Definition Of A Hero?

My definition of a hero is someone who is special to me or someone I look up to. For example my dad or Michael Jordan. I look at my dad as a hero because he is always there for me and always will be. He helps me with everything i need help with no matter what it is. Also he is very caring and nice to me. So i respect him and he respects me. Now i look at Michael Jordan as a hero because he is one of the greatest basketball players that has every played and basketball is one of my favorite sports to play. So if I were to make it to the NBA I would like to be looked at just like people looked at Micheal Jordan. This definition has changed over time because when I was young a hero to me then had super powers like superman or spiderman. It was someone who had some what of a super power.

Define Hero

Heroes can be anything such as a Fireman, Doctor, or hey even a Lawyer but heroes can be much more. I define heroes as superior beings such as Superman, or Spiderman etc. Heores stand up for the rights not the wrongs in other words heroes are the good guys. as I think about it right now any of you can be heroes. so in conlusion my definition for heroes is that anyone can be heroes but other heroes can also have superior human abilites.

What is the definition of a hero? Some say that heroes are good that save the innocent and save lives, others view heroes as a person who just does good and doesn't let negatives effect them. My definition of a hero is a person who despite what obstacles are put in front of them can get over them and not trip while doing it. When i think of a hero the first person to come to my mind is my brother; if risking your life for the sake of our freedom isn't heroic i don't know what is...as for the definition of a hero changing, everyone is afflicted by some decision which can turn them from a hero to a zero or the exact opposite and everyone has their own heroes and views on a hero. So, yeah the definition of a hero can change and you set the definition yourself, ask yourself what kind of hero are you and to which kind of person.

Heroes

I believe a hero is someone who fights for a cause, such as freedom. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. fought for the freedom of many African Americans, he took action and stood up for them. The soldiers of World War II are another good example, they helped give Jewish people back their freedom in Germany, because they deserved much better than what was happening to them at the time. A hero is a person who can take action at moments like those and stand up for the people in need and do what is right. A hero isn't necessarily a man or woman with super powers, it can be anyone in this world. I think differently of a hero now than when I was younger. My first thought that came to my mind when I heard the word hero, was always Superman or Batman because I didn't understand any other meanings of hero. But now I know there are other heroes than Superman or Batman, because we have the power to be a hero just like them.

A Hero is someone who overcomes obstacles to help others. People who think about others before their selves are considered a hero to me. Determination, kindness, generosity,intelligence,strength are great qualities a hero could have. For example, parents are most people's hero's. They work so hard to please you,and put food on the table. I actually think that this definition changes over time. When your only about 4 or 5, you think that a hero is some person who has super powers and can save the world in one afternoon. As you get older, you realize the true meaning of a hero and that those people only exist in fiction stories.

For an example, my hero is Alicia Keys because I don't just look up to her I can compare to her. She has done so much for the poor countries. However, a hero is someone who sacrificed his or her own life. Characteristics of a hero would have bravery in them and courage but no hero is perfect. They all have hard times like the rest of us. These two characteristics can bring out someone and the meaning can change. The definition of hero can change overtime because different things happen in life but mostly once a hero always a hero.

A hero is someone who you can admire, and look up to as a role model. The qualities of a hero would be anything that you like in them. Everybody has a different type of hero that they like. For example, If your hero was George Washington, his qualities would be that he was a determined leader who achieved his goals. But on the other hand, if your hero was Jennifer Lopez, her characteristics and qualities would be that she is a good dancer, singer, and actor. The definition of a hero would change over time because new things will come into and out of the world. You just have to be ready for them.

I would say that a hero is strong person. A person of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life. Like a soldier at war, or Elie Wiesel. Qualities or characteristics of a hero would be, always have a sense of humor, have honor, courage, determination, Intelligence, strength, caring, compassion, loyalty and, faithfulness. No the definition of hero does not change over time, because once you are a hero i believe you stay a hero.

I think that a hero is someone who stands up for people. A hero typically brings hope. Heroes fight for what is right no matter what danger it brings to them. They are helpful, brave, and try to keep balance. Some people believe heroes are perfect, but most of the time heroes aren't perfect its their flaws that keep them humble or from letting power go to their head. I think heroes do change over time because its apart of them growing and reaching their full potential.

I would have to say a hero is a good person. A hero in my opinion would have to be Elie the author of Night, Elie is a hero because he showed the whole world what a terrible thing the holocaust was. Elie is a hero because he stood up to the SS, Hitler, he helped his father his best he could by giving him foo and water in his time of need, he also did not abandoned his father like Rabbi Although son did. Elie is also a good hero because even though he gave up faith he did not stop trying to fight Hitler and the Nazi regime. Elie is also a hero because he showed the world that is you keep your butt in line you can do anything you wanna do.

MDG & COA Question

I think most people want to be good, for example: In Most Dangerous Game Rainsford kept his scruples about him throughout the story despite all the negative tensions set forward by General Zaroff. General Zaroff didn't wanna be good he thought killing human beings was a game and that's why Rainsford took care of him. Another example would be, When Rainsford is on the boat at first and arguing with all his hunting buddies whether animals have feelings or not.

I think most people want to be in real life too but, there's a lot of people that allow negative influences or other negatives corrupt them and make them not be themselves or think differently then a normal good person would be. For example: My best friend Simone let drugs and other negative people affect her life and now she is in rehab and in drug programs and she wants to be a good person but, now she has no choice on what she wants she an addicted drug abuser and needed help. I've talked to her since then and she broke the need and got back to a normal life and lives as a good person.

I don't believe most people naturally want to be good. Zaroff was one of those kind of people. He couldn't be swayed into thinking what he was doing was wrong, or inhuman. He thought what he was doing was good and not evil. He said something about the weak cannot hang with the strong. People can be pretty crazy. Montresor was a little crazy as well, he didn't think of himself as an evil person, he was insulted by Fortunato and wanted to get revenge by killing him. You can't stop people like him and get them to change their minds.
I see people that are like Zaroff and Montresor. I heard about some guy on the news that killed two people because he thought it was the right thing to do, because they were weak or weren't like him and thought they needed to be removed from the world. When people are pushed around or think what they do is right, it's like they have tunnel vision, you can't get their attention off of it.

People do want to be neutrally good and, some aren't but that's why their is practice because like in the most dangerous game General Zaroff wanted to be great but he wasn't so he practiced.But even though it was in a grotesque way he still practiced and became very well at it.I also have many friends that want to be naturally good at things but not everyone is so that's why their is individuality in the world cause you may want to be naturally good at one thing but your not and more than likely you can be good at another thing. so in my opinion yes people do want to be naturally good.

I think people really do want to be good, but certain events in their lives could cloud their judgment. Like in the story of The Cask of Amontillado, Montresor was angry because he believed Fortunado insulted him and he felt a need of getting revenge. There is also another story, the Most Dangerous Game, wear General Zaroff believed killing people wasn’t a crime. He probably believed this because he has been hunting all his life, and because he was a general he probably killed many people in wars, so when he became bored with all that he thought of that atrocious idea.

In real life I believe it is the same way. Everyone would like to be good, but things can happen to them that can change the way they think. For example this isn’t the case all the time, but a friend of mine from grade school was born in a rough neighborhood and became accustomed to selling drugs or stealing. It isn’t that he chose to be this way but the circumstances around him led to it. That’s why I think becoming a bad person is based on events that might have happened to a person in life.

Most people want to be good, but it's certain things that happen that make them do bad. Like they want it to be good, but somehow they make it better for themselves. For example, General Zaroff didn't think he was doing a bad thing by hunting humans. Also, Montresor was just seeking revenge on Fortundado. If Fortunado hadn't of insulted him, that whole situation wouldn't of occurred.
Some people just get really jealous. For example, let's say your friend bought these new shoes. She asked you what you thought of them. You really did like them, but you wanted them for yourself. So caring only about yourself, you told her they were ugly and went and bought them. You were trying to do a good thing, but you made it better for yourself.

Well i think that people only care about themselves because sometimes the think that there all bad until they walk up to some one that is turfier then them.They will say some thin that will get them hurt one day and then they will look back and say i wish i was a good person and try to be a better person and then i won't be flipping burgers at Mac.Donald's and that is my story.

I think that people naturally want to be good. in the story Rainsford didn't think hunting was wrong because he didn't understand what the animals were feeling. he also immediately thought that hunting humans is wrong. General Zaroff thinks that what he is doing is fine. He also thinks hes doing the world a favor because hes hunts the scum of the earth, sailors form tramp ships of any race.
I always want to be good and do the right thing, but i don't always do the right thing. No one is perfect so we make mistakes, but we always want to do the right thing. To be good you also have to want to be good. When my parents want me to do something for the most part i always do it but some times you just get lazy and do the bad thing by not listening to them and leaving what ever it is undone.
