MDG & COA Question

I think most people want to be good, for example: In Most Dangerous Game Rainsford kept his scruples about him throughout the story despite all the negative tensions set forward by General Zaroff. General Zaroff didn't wanna be good he thought killing human beings was a game and that's why Rainsford took care of him. Another example would be, When Rainsford is on the boat at first and arguing with all his hunting buddies whether animals have feelings or not.

I think most people want to be in real life too but, there's a lot of people that allow negative influences or other negatives corrupt them and make them not be themselves or think differently then a normal good person would be. For example: My best friend Simone let drugs and other negative people affect her life and now she is in rehab and in drug programs and she wants to be a good person but, now she has no choice on what she wants she an addicted drug abuser and needed help. I've talked to her since then and she broke the need and got back to a normal life and lives as a good person.

Question #2 answer

I don't believe most people naturally want to be good. Zaroff was one of those kind of people. He couldn't be swayed into thinking what he was doing was wrong, or inhuman. He thought what he was doing was good and not evil. He said something about the weak cannot hang with the strong. People can be pretty crazy. Montresor was a little crazy as well, he didn't think of himself as an evil person, he was insulted by Fortunato and wanted to get revenge by killing him. You can't stop people like him and get them to change their minds.
I see people that are like Zaroff and Montresor. I heard about some guy on the news that killed two people because he thought it was the right thing to do, because they were weak or weren't like him and thought they needed to be removed from the world. When people are pushed around or think what they do is right, it's like they have tunnel vision, you can't get their attention off of it.
People do want to be neutrally good and, some aren't but that's why their is practice because like in the most dangerous game General Zaroff wanted to be great but he wasn't so he practiced. But even though it was in a grotesque way he still practiced and became very well at it.I also have many friends that want to be naturally good at things but not everyone is so that's why their is individuality in the world cause you may want to be naturally good at one thing but your not and more than likely you can be good at another thing. so in my opinion yes people do want to be naturally good.

MDG/COA Question

I think people really do want to be good, but certain events in their lives could cloud their judgment. Like in the story of The Cask of Amontillado, Montresor was angry because he believed Fortunado insulted him and he felt a need of getting revenge. There is also another story, the Most Dangerous Game, wear General Zaroff believed killing people wasn’t a crime. He probably believed this because he has been hunting all his life, and because he was a general he probably killed many people in wars, so when he became bored with all that he thought of that atrocious idea.

In real life I believe it is the same way. Everyone would like to be good, but things can happen to them that can change the way they think. For example this isn’t the case all the time, but a friend of mine from grade school was born in a rough neighborhood and became accustomed to selling drugs or stealing. It isn’t that he chose to be this way but the circumstances around him led to it. That’s why I think becoming a bad person is based on events that might have happened to a person in life.

MDG/COA Question

Most people want to be good, but it's certain things that happen that make them do bad. Like they want it to be good, but somehow they make it better for themselves. For example, General Zaroff didn't think he was doing a bad thing by hunting humans. Also, Montresor was just seeking revenge on Fortundado. If Fortunado hadn't of insulted him, that whole situation wouldn't of occurred.
Some people just get really jealous. For example, let's say your friend bought these new shoes. She asked you what you thought of them. You really did like them, but you wanted them for yourself. So caring only about yourself, you told her they were ugly and went and bought them. You were trying to do a good thing, but you made it better for yourself.
Well i think that people only care about themselves because sometimes the think that there all bad until they walk up to some one that is turfier then them. They will say some thin that will get them hurt one day and then they will look back and say i wish i was a good person and try to be a better person and then i won't be flipping burgers at Mac.Donald's and that is my story.

MDG/COA Question

I think that people naturally want to be good. in the story Rainsford didn't think hunting was wrong because he didn't understand what the animals were feeling. he also immediately thought that hunting humans is wrong. General Zaroff thinks that what he is doing is fine. He also thinks hes doing the world a favor because hes hunts the scum of the earth, sailors form tramp ships of any race.
I always want to be good and do the right thing, but i don't always do the right thing. No one is perfect so we make mistakes, but we always want to do the right thing. To be good you also have to want to be good. When my parents want me to do something for the most part i always do it but some times you just get lazy and do the bad thing by not listening to them and leaving what ever it is undone.

Question #1 Response

The most difficult part of the writing process to me would be the plot. That is because i didn't really understand how to plot correctly in middle school. When i start to write i have so many thoughts and ideas that i don't no how to write it on my paper.

If i had a better understanding of plotting it would be less difficult and i would be able to write my stories in a better form and be able to organize all my ideas so that my story will make more sense and improve.
ANSWER:WAT i think the most hardest part is brainstorming. Because i never brainstorm i do it when i am writing. i think more things come to my mind when i am writing and when i don't think about it.
I think the thing i have the most trouble with is brain-storming about what I'm going to write. Its so hard to think about what your going to write if you haven't got to think about it for a little while.I also think that its hard to pre-write it on paper.

Question 1 Answer

For me I think converting my thoughts into words. Sometimes when I'm writing I get really good ideas and I dont no how to type them out. I also think that brainstorming is hard because it is just easyer to let the words flow. Even though I have trouble writing I end up doing a good job!

Question Number One Response

I am not good at publishing , edditing error, and actually writing an essay. I find these things difficult for me because I am not soo good in grammar never really was. I was also never really good at ploting because i never really understood the whole thing. When i get ready to write i get all confused cause i got so much ideas in my head and i don't know what to put down. Lets just say English wasn't my number 1 subject.

Question Number One Answer

The hardest part in the writing process for me would be brainstorming. The reason i say this is because I'm not a really good brain stormer at all. If someone gave me a job for brainstorming I would get fired within the first hour. Another process that I have difficulties with would be the pre-writing. The reason I typed pre-writing is because, I'm not really a big fan of the rough draft. I also do not like when you have to bring millions of paper for rough drafts. So that's another reason why i think the writing process hard. Now you know what i have troubles with on the writing process.
I think the hardest part of writing is brainstorming because I don't relly think that well. I think i can improve on this by staying in this class and passing. I hope to pass this class with an ''A'' or a "B". I will try to do my homework everynight. I'll study my notes every night as long as i take them in class. I will try to take practice writing promps trough out the year.

Question Number 1 Response

I think this writing process is most difficult in the is the writing part. I am always trying to think of something to write. I always finish my paragraph in time but i get stranded half way through.
I really dont like writing I would rather type it. I struggle thinking about what to talk about. I wish to write easier. I hope this teaches me to write better.

question number 1 responce

I think the brain storming is hard sometimes. I think it's hard because if I don't understand what to write then it is hard for me to think about it. Pre-writing is also sometimes hard because I sometimes run out of things to write about when I pre-write. I don't like editing my words because it wasts time when I'm trying to write a lot. It is also hard because when I write a lot and I'm finished and I have a lot of errors I will have to start over.I really don't like to start over.

question number one responce

The thing that i have trouble with is the pre-writing. The reason this is my problem is because I have never really done this before, so I'm not that used to it. I don't really understand why I cant, I think what I could do to improve this is to practice it more. Also, I think that, if I do it enough times i will get used to doing it. Also if i do more of it i can get used to doing it and get better at it.

The second part that is hard for me to do is editing my own work because even when i re-read it it still makes sense to me always. I'm not sure what i could do to improve this, I think what i could do is keep it for a while, such as five minuets, and then re-read it so i can get used to it.

question number one response

The hardest part for me is brainstorming. I think brainstorming is the hardest part for me because i usually never brainstorm. I don't think i brain storm because i usually can think up what i want to write in my head as i go along. The reason brainstorming is the hardest because i don't think is never enough time to brain storm. The reason brainstorming is most difficult for me is because i think is is a waste of time. That is why i think brainstorming is the hardest.

I think i could improve by not going ahead in my writing and brainstorming.

Question Number One Response

Editing for errors and publishing my own work is the hardest for me because I'm not good at correcting myself. That is something that i will fail at and not get better at as I go on in life. Every time my teachers ask me to correct my errors I cant because I don't notice even if I reread it a thousand times. Publishing is something else that I'm not good at because publishing is not something I don't do often but I need to. Publishing and I just don't get along especially when i comes to long articles that i have to write. I can improve if i try really hard but it may not work.
I can improve my skills by practicing more on how to edit my errors. I can write some papers and correct my answers that were wrong and keep doing that to improve so I can get better. For me to get better on publishing i can practice on some articles. Also, I can get some help from a tutor. I need serious help in publishing so I am going to try my best. Hopefully someone can help me through my weakness.

Question Number One Response

The most challenging part of the writing process. To me the most challenging part of the writing process is brainstorming and punctuation. Brainstorming is hard for me because it takes me along time to think about what i'm going to write. So most of the time i have to rush. So my story doesn't end up as good as it could be. Punctuation is hard me because I forget to put what where, and sometimes i forget to put them.

Question Number One Response

The process of writing i find most challenging for me is Pre-writing.
Because sometimes i find it hard to relate to the situation or remember something that happened that relates to the topic at hand. I also have a hard time with drafting when I'm writing because, I can't think about what to put onto the paper when I am writing a response to a prompt or even when i write freely I have a hard time expressing myself in a way I feel is correct. I also believe that if I really put forth some effort I can improve in my areas of weakness. Such as, reviewing new techniques of drafting and some advice about brainstorming.

QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE

Part one the hardest part for me is drafting. Sometimes I forget what I am going to say. Next i have a lot on my mind usually. I also find it hard to publish my work. Writing has always been hard for me. I get nervouse when there is a lot of people around me.

Question Number One Response

The most challenging part of of the writing process is punctuation. Another is brainstorming because I get lost looking at things around me.Punctuation is a big problem because I always have a problem knowing where to put them. Also if I knew where to put them I would get confused on where not to put them. Another thing is brainstorming because when I start thinking I would get lost in my thought and my surroundings.

To help my self I think I should study hard and listen in class.

question number one response

I think that the hardest part of the writing process is probably putting words from my draft into words that make scence. I dont realydont know way it is hard for me to do that but i hate to actualy write the actual story. I think that one of the main reasons is that i stssrt to get bored and i start to get impatiant and i start toget frustrated, and that inturn makes me write bad.

question number one response

Deciding what to write about is the hardest thing about writing to me because, i have so many thoughts about what ever the topic is until my brain overflows with ideas and thoughts that's my biggest problem. Then i also have problems with bubble mapping or what ever you wanna call it. I have a lot of ides going throughout my mind so i try hard to do my best and figure out what would be the best thing but i have a hard time and also getting off of subject. Another hard thing because i cant think one thing at a time when i write cause i always have a my next sentence in the middle of writing my sentence. Also while writing and i also tend to rush when i write cause i have the urge to get done quickly and i end up writing sloppy. I also have a problem with daydreaming in class cause i think about what im writing then i go off into my own world.

question number one response

I think the hardest part of the writing process is getting what I'm thinking onto the paper, like getting my words in the right order and getting my drafting down. One of my other problems is staying on point, and not strolling off in my own little world about stuff that doesn't make any sense at all.
To improve my problems i could probably just focus more on what im working on at the time.....

Question Number One Response

The part of writing I find the most challenging is Pre-writing or brainstorming. I think it's challeging because I can't think really quickly. Things don't come to mind that fast. It takes me a while to finally come up with a few ideas. That's why I just start to write whatever comes to mind. If I try to pre-write, it takes up to much time and then I won't finish my overall essay.

I could study my notes from class everynight as well as do my homework assignments posted on this website.

question number one response

question number one response

I find that pre-writing and editing is the most difficult. Pre-witting is hard because that is when you have to come up with your ideas. It usually takes up a lot of my time if its timed . If its not timed then I spend more time thinking about it than writing it. Editing is challenging because I don't always know if its right or not. How can you edit your work if your not sure what it is you need to edit?
I could improve my skills by writing more. For the pre-writing i could try making just webs and outlines. For the editing i need to learn more of the grammar rules and where commas can go.

Question Number One Response

I think that the pre-writing process is the hardest because of how hard it is to think of stuff right away. My mind is always blank during that part and i usually skip it unless it's for a grade. I'm just too lazy as well, i don't want to write it once and have to write it again. Also, i'll spend way to much time on that part and have only 15 to 20 minutes to write my final draft essay. It's extremely boring and a waste of time in my mind. I could probably improve my pre-writing skills by doing it even if i don't want to. Maybe trying different pre-writing formats to see if there are any easier ones to follow by. Pre-writing is definitely a weak spot in my writing skills and i'll try to improve on doing it.
