Hero
I would say that a hero is strong person. A person of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life. Like a soldier at war, or Elie Wiesel. Qualities or characteristics of a hero would be, always have a sense of humor, have honor, courage, determination, Intelligence, strength, caring, compassion, loyalty and, faithfulness. No the definition of hero does not change over time, because once you are a hero i believe you stay a hero.

Heroes definitely have those qualities in them, it's what defines them i think.
Those are very good qualities for a hero to have
I agree with you when you said That a hero is a strong person but I also have to disagree with you when you say heroes don't change over time. Most small children don't know what a hero is when they are little and they think its like a superhero. But, as you get older you learn the true meaning.
I liked when you said once you're a hero, you stay a hero.
